It’s called Trashion…

That’s right trash fashion. Boy have times changed. Just a year ago designer bags were all the rage. Today in the it’s-now-uber-cool-to-be-green world we live in, the idea of actually throwing away used food packaging just doesn’t sit right with people. So what’s the green alternative? Taking those used packages and transforming them into something useful and fashionable.

Let me introduce you to Trashion.

Here we have a crazy chip bag hat…

and a pair of cute Ramen Noddle Baby Booties…

and a Rice Krispies Notebook…

and my personal favorite…a heart shaped Diet Coke Necklace!

Talk about made for me! ;)

PS. This is a dream come true for food companies. Consumers are willingly extending the use of their products and even WEARING their brand names out in public. It’s free advertising plus it’s hip!! Sounds like a win-win!

    Kylene,
Nice blog…however, I’m not to sure about “Trashion”…what does a Doritos hat smell like? …eeeesh…. Does it hold up in the rain?

    Now the Diet Coke necklace….sweeeeet….

This could give new meaning to “Beer Googles”….

Good point - I don’t think it would hold up in the rain, but you should know better! It’s not about function - it’s about style!

    PS- How’s Lyric doing?
